Increasingly used are marajing steels. It has both high mechanical values like
martensitic steels and high corrosion resistance like austenitic steels.
The symbol 17-4PH comes from 17% chromium and 4% nickel. It is a stainless steel
that is resistant to corrosion in most corrosive environments, at least as much as 304 steel,
with its high mechanical properties and harden by aging.
It is used in aerospace, medical hand tools, chemical and
food processing equipment, and papermaking equipment.
